Stakeholder Groups

Stakeholder groups organize your stakeholders into meaningful categories. This helps you target surveys effectively and analyze results by group.

Default stakeholder groups

Karomia provides common stakeholder group categories:

  • Employees — Your organization's workforce.
  • Management — Senior leadership and executives.
  • Investors — Shareholders and financial stakeholders.
  • Customers — End users of your products or services.
  • Suppliers — Companies in your supply chain.
  • Local communities — People in areas where you operate.
  • Regulators — Government and regulatory bodies.
  • NGOs — Non-governmental organizations and advocacy groups.

Creating custom groups

You can create additional stakeholder groups tailored to your organization:

  1. Navigate to your assessment's stakeholder management section.
  2. Click Add Stakeholder Group.
  3. Enter a name and description for the group.
  4. Define the group's relevance to your organization.

Managing groups

For each stakeholder group, you can:

  • Edit — Update the group name, description, or configuration.
  • Assign surveys — Link the group to specific surveys.
  • Track participation — Monitor response rates.
  • View results — See aggregated responses for the group.

Group-specific analysis

During the IRO analysis phase, you can compare how different stakeholder groups scored each topic. This is valuable for:

  • Understanding where stakeholder perspectives diverge.
  • Identifying topics that one group considers more material than others.
  • Ensuring that all stakeholder perspectives are represented in your final materiality determination.
