Emissions Dashboard

The emissions dashboard provides a visual overview of your organization's greenhouse gas emissions. Use it to monitor trends, compare periods, and communicate your emissions profile to stakeholders.

Dashboard overview

The dashboard displays:

  • Total emissions — Your aggregate emissions across all scopes and categories.
  • Breakdown by scope — Distribution across Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions.
  • Trend over time — How your emissions have changed across reporting periods.
  • Category breakdown — Detailed view by emission category (energy, transport, supply chain, etc.).

Using the dashboard

Filtering data

Use the dashboard filters to focus on specific:

  • Time periods — Select a reporting year or custom date range.
  • Scopes — View only Scope 1, 2, or 3 emissions.
  • Categories — Drill into specific emission categories.
  • Locations — Filter by physical location (if multiple locations are configured).

Reading the charts

The dashboard uses interactive charts:

  • Bar charts — Compare emissions across categories or time periods.
  • Line charts — Track trends over time.
  • Pie/donut charts — Visualize proportional breakdowns.

Hover over chart elements to see exact values and percentages.

Exporting dashboard data

You can export your dashboard views for use in reports and presentations:

  • Download charts as images.
  • Export underlying data to Excel.
  • Include dashboard visualizations in your sustainability report.

Documents needed for emissions calculation

To calculate your emissions accurately, Karomia requires supporting documents for each emission category. Having these documents ready before you begin will streamline the data entry process.

Scope 1 — Stationary combustion

  • Gas invoices showing consumption in m³ and the meter number per site
  • Fuel purchase invoices per fuel type (diesel, HFO, LPG, etc.)

Scope 1 — Mobile combustion

  • Fuel card data per vehicle, including fuel type and litres consumed
  • EV charging data via fuel cards or charge point operator exports (kWh)

Scope 1 — Fugitive emissions

  • Top-up or service records showing kg of refrigerant added per year
  • OEM Life Cycle Assessment documentation (for SF₆ and refrigerant equipment)
  • Equipment list with refrigerant type and capacity as a fallback

Scope 2 — Electricity

  • Electricity invoices showing consumption in kWh and the meter number per site
  • Smart meter data exports for manufacturing or process electricity
tip

Gather all relevant invoices and meter data before starting your emissions calculation. Complete, well-organized source documents lead to more accurate results and a smoother audit trail.
