Real-Time Editing

Karomia supports real-time collaborative editing, allowing multiple team members to work on the same report simultaneously without conflicts.

How it works

When multiple people open the same report section:

  • Each person's cursor is visible to others, labeled with their name.
  • Text changes appear instantly for all collaborators.
  • Formatting changes are synchronized in real time.
  • There are no save conflicts or merge issues.

Collaboration indicators

While editing, you can see:

  • Active editors — Avatars of team members currently viewing or editing the document.
  • Cursor positions — Where each collaborator is working in the document.
  • Live changes — Text appearing in real time as others type.

Best practices

Coordinate on sections

When multiple people are editing the same report, it helps to:

  • Assign specific sections to specific team members.
  • Communicate through the mention feature (@name) to flag items for review.
  • Avoid editing the exact same paragraph simultaneously for clarity.

Use mentions for review

Tag team members using @ mentions to:

  • Request review of a specific section.
  • Ask questions about content.
  • Flag sections that need data or verification.

Auto-save

All changes are saved automatically. You do not need to manually save your work. The editor shows a timestamp of the last save.

Offline behavior

If you lose your internet connection:

  • Your local changes are preserved.
  • When the connection is restored, changes are automatically synchronized.
  • If there are conflicting changes, they are merged automatically.
